Landscaping

UNIQUE CONCRETE ELEMENTS FOR EXCEPTIONAL LANDSCAPE DESIGN

At Concretion we believe passionately in transforming outdoor spaces through bespoke landscaping elements, underpinned by quality, style, and craftsmanship.

Over recent years, and with our extensive experience, we have seen client demand for such elements grow with a move to installations boasting clean and modern concrete finishes.

As a result we are proud to offer quality made local products that in their design, price, durability, and ease of installation bring value to any project.

Whether you are a contractor, a specialised merchant, architect or garden designer, discover how our selection of unique custom concrete elements including large format concrete pavers, copings and steps will inspire you and meet your design objectives.

With the introduction of shredded fiberglass strands into concrete, we achieve incredible flexural strength which helps greatly in preventing cracking with time. As well as shredded fiberglass throughout our concrete mixes, we use fiberglass rebar and fiberglass mesh to ensure our products are as strong and durable.

Unlike steel, fiberglass rebar doesn’t rust with time. In many cases when concrete fails, it is caused by the steel inside the concrete which expands when in contact with moisture, making the concrete crack. This has become national news over recent times with the failure of RAAC concrete in buildings, but rest assured that our products are not related to the aerated concrete produced in the 1960’s.

Where the past meets the present

Each bespoke and handcrafted piece embraces a clean minimalist approach in a neutral palette. A celebration of streamlined and raw modernism and brutalism coming together to make a bold decorative statement or inject a subtle complimentary touch by introducing texture to a room.

A foundation of architectural design from historic civilizations to present day, the attractiveness of this once thought of cold building material has evolved into one which is lightweight, elegant, and robust.

Sleek, contemporary, and fluid, modern concrete is more than an urban design phenomenon, its unique qualities blur the lines between furniture and art, enhancing its surroundings, and bringing beauty to the everyday.

With a unique blend of concrete and our bespoke manufacturing approach means we can provide sizes up to 2300mm long and 50,70 or 100mm think. Half the weight of traditional concrete pavers, these are far easier and quicker to install.

Our range of multiple finishes and colours, along with the option of pre-sealed pavers also ensures they maintain their appearance offering longevity and timelessness. We also offer a colour matching service if you are after a shade that will go with your colour scheme.

If your project requires stylish floating effect steps to bring together different parts of the garden, give the landscape more structure or height, we can also manufacture these to specific sizes and thickness.

As well as our handcrafted pieces, our custom creation service allows you to realise your vision. Collaborating with us you can feel inspired, experiment, and bring passion to your décor, creating breathtaking concrete furnishings unique to you and tailored to your space.

  • Concrete products will contain small air bubble holes also referred to as ‘bug holes’ – this is a natural characteristic of concrete. Small blemished and chips to the corners and edges are also a part of the characteristics of this type of concrete product due to the type of aggregate used – these are positive attributes to the product and define character. Larger chips that form during installation can be repaired – please contact us for the best route forward should this occur depending on the size of the chip.
  • Dimensional tolerances of +/-3mm should be allowed for with our products. Our concrete products should not be butt jointed, we recommend a minimum 5mm jointing gap ( please refer to our installation guide for more information)
  • We advise you to order 5-10% over what is required to ensure your project is not hampered by delays in running short of material.
  • Our mix design is consistent, however depending on the batch and drying times of your order, there may be slight variations in tone. Concrete takes a very long time to fully cure and keeps getting harder and harder with time. Slight variations are nothing to be alarmed about but please contact us immediately if you have concerns.
  • The undersides can be routed out to accommodate strip lighting. Refer to installation guide for more information.
  • Hairline cracks can appear in concrete products over time. Reinforcing fibers are used throughout the products which gives good crack resistance and high flexural strength, typically if products haven’t been damaged in transit and are installed correctly, they shouldn’t crack.
  • Colours and fading, with the grey, pale and beige options, there will be very minimal change in colour, concrete takes a very long time to fully cure, and you will find it gets slightly lighter in colour with time. With the smoke colour – depending on the exposure to the sun, this will become lighter in colour over time too, and can take on more of a dappled appearance. If UV sealants are used on coloured concrete this will help reduce the colour change.
  • Slip resistance for our standard finish has passed wet and dry for both shod and unshod foot so no issues there – regarding longevity, obviously this is a new product on the market but we are using products that have been around for a long time.
  • Deliveries are normally made using a rigid 26ton lorry with talil-lift and pump truck.
  • Please help us to improve service by letting us know if you have a forklift onsite and are able to unload the vehicle.
  • Deliveries are kerbside only and customers must ensure that there is sufficient access and available hard standing to offload the consignment as deliveries cannot be made onto uneven surfaces such as gravel or grass.
  • Customer will be responsible for delivery surcharges if delivery fails due to insufficient access or offload conditions.
  • All pallets to be disposed of by the customer.
  • Contractors must ensure that products are fit for purpose
  • Please note delivery prices are as accurate as possible at time of ordering, however this cost may be subject to change at any time due to weight/volume or fuel surcharges.
  • Please let us know about any access restrictions at the delivery/check-out stage as failure to provide information may delay your order or incur extra delivery costs.
  • The administration team will be in touch to arrange/advise of your delivery date or should any issue arise concerning delivery charges.
