How light is lightweight?
Regular concrete has a weight density of approximately 2.4 kg per litre. With our unique blend and technique, we have reduced that to around 1kg per litre.
Is concrete easy to clean?
Our kitchen worktops and tables are a food safe sealant applied, making them incredibly easy to clean and maintain. Food and drink spillages can be easily cleaned using a damp soapy cloth. It is common, as with any other sealed worktops (such as wood or stone) that in time it may require resealing. The beauty of concrete is that it can be easily revived and resealed repeatedly, so even in the harshest weathers or in areas of high footfall it will stand the test of time.
How long does delivery take from time of order?
A typical lead time for most items is 4 to 6 weeks from when the order is placed. Each piece must stay in a controlled, drying climate for 2 weeks to allow it to harden sufficiently before we can start to polish and seal. Please read our terms and conditions for more info.
Is assembly required?
We try to keep assembly requirements to a minimum, but if it does, it is very straightforward.
What kind of bespoke projects do you do?
The sky is the limit would be the answer. But to give you an idea, we can make vanity units, wash basins, bookshelves, chairs, sinks, splashbacks, tables, worktops, coffee tables, side tables, desks, fire surrounds, hearths, benches, picnic tables, bar tops, stools… just to name a few.
What makes your products eco-friendly?
According to research studies, with the current consumption rates, every year 1.7 million tonnes of products reach the end of their lives. Even though it is not the most polluting sector, the furniture industry, nevertheless, has a legitimate impact on our planet.
As well as using natural, raw materials that come from limited resources like wood, the furniture giants use certain materials and manufacturing processes that result in huge amounts of waste and pollution.
That is why at Concretion, we pride ourselves on providing lifetime pieces that will withstand not only the unavoidable wear that other materials suffer in time but also ones that give you a timeless style for your home. We are committed to constantly test and formulate new ways of creating less impact and waste in our process.
This is an ongoing journey and we will keep you updated on our social media pages about each new measure we are adopting to fulfil our goal of loving our planet. Follow us here for more updates.
Do your prices include delivery?
We will go through delivery prices as we finalise your order, prices they vary according to your location and order.
Do you ship internationally?
No, we are focused exclusively on the UK market.
How do I pay?
Once the order is confirmed, we will send a proforma invoice to you with our bank details.
Can you deliver to a specific room?
Yes, we will need to know dimensions of accesses beforehand to make sure delivery can run smoothly. Please see terms and conditions about clearing the space beforehand.
I have received a faulty/damaged item
Products must be inspected on receipt. If there has been any damage during transportation, (which we hope not, after all, it’s concrete!) we will replace it.
What if I am not happy with my purchase? Will I be refunded?
We will go through all the details with you before manufacturing to ensure we understand exactly what your requirements are. We will then produce your piece according to your specifications and will never deliver anything we would not be happy with. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns if you change your mind as we do not have the facilities to keep stock as we operate on a ‘just in time’ basis. Returns are only accepted if you receive a sub-standard product. Please refer to terms and conditions .
Do you have a showroom?
In order to offer a competitive price, we work under a ‘just in time’ system. We only produce what is needed, staying away from mass production and wastefulness. That means no stock costs, no hard sells, no unnecessary haulage costs, no rushed products. By producing in response to the demand, we are becoming less wasteful, more personal, and more economically and environmentally efficient.
